Fall weather and indecisive battles. Basically my first quarter year in NYC

So today is October 30, one day before the great holiday of Halloween. I have been a New York City resident for nearly three months and feel like I kick ass. As I just went over the Williamsburg bridge into Manhattan on the wonderful J train I noticed all the changes, the most beneficial being the passing of Gongs fish market on the corner of Halsey st. And Broadway right accross from my apartment. Quite frankly, I hated this place, it smelled like shit as should be expected from a nasty ass fish market. They are replacing it with a beauty store that will most likely be filled with hair relaxor’s and other misclanious goods. I have aquired a job with Shaw Promotion handing out flyers at late night clubs and concerts and also getting on the guest list for nearly anything I want. Pretty baller. Anyways, about a month ago I was muggerd on the corner of Church av. and Veronica on my way to my friends apartment in the East Flatbush area of Brooklyn. Some guy ran up beside me and stole my sidekick. He was a fat fuck and slow as shit, I could have easily taken him down but me being the dumb little country boy I am and not realizing I was the only caucasion person as far as the eye could see on a moderately populated street, of course numerous people saw it take place but no one was going to say anything. I just stood there like WTF!? After this took place, three other little fuckers come over to me on a deserted street all like “yo, you got some bread nigga!?” I was like “what!? You mean money? No I don’t have any money!” they didn’t believe me, frisked me down and before they got to my wallet, I ripped it out and showed them that I in fact did not have any money except for a few nickles which they proceeded to take hahahaaha. They then tried to jack my monthlong metro card, credit card, and ID and I was just like “nah, get the fuck outta here” and turned and started walking, one then punched me in the side of the head, I turned around and took another in the face before they ran away. Other than that everything has been pretty smooth, I’ve been to countless concerts and clubs. Been onstage wth MSTRKRFT at studio b, and tomorrow is Halloween, the parade, RI.P.P.E.D. With the best band ever, Apes and Androids with an open bar all night, and to top things off we have Motherfucker and the class at 8 am on thursday hahahaha. Let’s see here, I’m sitting in sociology watching some video, pretty boring. Some weird Jewish guy who looked like someone stole his judaism from him came up to me and my roommate at the Essex/Delancy street subway station yesterday and asked me to use my phone, after I lied about not having service he proceeded to ask me if was Jewish? Are you serious? I have pink and black hair and I’m wearing hi top dunks with some other crazy shit. He must’ve been on crack. I’m really starting to think that NYC is truely the greatest place in the world to live, I just can’t wait for all these kids to start moving into Bushwick and being scarred out of their minds because they saw the people on True Life yesterday lived in bushwick, they’re probably like ohh damn, that must be hip! Yeah, its hip, untill you see kids get gunned down accross the street or you hear about a kid being shot in the face after looking out his window to see what was going on a few short blocks away, or hearing gunshots throughout the night.

Anyways, the good has far outwighed the bad, I love it and I’m never
going back.
